Welcome
Getting Started at Our Clinic
We make it easy to get started. Here’s what to expect at your first visit — and answers to the questions patients ask us most.
Your First Visit
What to Expect
Our first appointment is a thorough, unhurried conversation about your health. We take the time to understand your history, assess your condition, and explain our findings before anything else happens.
Step 1
Schedule Your Appointment
Call us at (705) 444-2026 or use our online contact form to book your initial consultation. Our team will match you with the right provider based on your needs and schedule.
Step 2
Health History & Consultation
We begin with a detailed health history, taking time to understand your concerns, what has helped or hurt in the past, and your goals for care. This conversation matters — it shapes everything that follows.
Step 3
Thorough Examination
We perform a physical examination with neurological tests using the Insight Station and gentle palpation of the spine and affected areas. If needed, we will refer you for imaging before proceeding.
Step 4
Review of Findings
Your doctor will walk you through exactly what they found, what it means, and what they recommend. You will understand your diagnosis and have the opportunity to ask questions before we discuss any care plan. There is never any pressure.
Step 5
Begin Treatment
In many cases, treatment begins on the same day as your consultation. We use gentle, instrument-assisted techniques that are well-suited to patients of all ages and comfort levels, including those who have never seen a chiropractor before.
Good to Know
Common Questions Before Your First Visit
🆕
I’ve never seen a chiropractor before
That’s completely fine — and very common. We take extra care with first-time patients to explain every step, move slowly, and make sure you feel comfortable throughout. There is no obligation to proceed with anything that doesn’t feel right to you.
😌
I’m feeling nervous about adjustments
We understand. Your doctor will review everything with you, including the methods they use and what you will experience.
⏱️
How long until I feel better?
It depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and how your body responds. Some patients notice improvement after the first visit; others need several sessions before significant change occurs. Your doctor will give you a realistic picture at your review of findings.
📋
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. Chiropractors are primary contact health care providers in Ontario, which means you can book directly without seeing your family doctor first.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Your First Visit
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first visit includes a detailed health history intake, a physical examination, and a review of findings. In most cases, treatment begins the same day.
How long is a typical visit?
Follow-up visits are typically brief and efficient, depending on the treatment involved.
Do I need a referral?
No. Chiropractors are primary care providers in Ontario — you can book directly without a physician referral.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any relevant X-rays, MRI reports, or specialist letters if you have them. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Payment is collected at the time of your visit.
Will the adjustment be uncomfortable?
Our doctors use instrument-assisted techniques that do not involve manual thrusting, cracking, or twisting. The vast majority of patients find it comfortable, even on their very first visit.
About Our Care
What conditions do you treat?
We support nervous system health and address a wide range of neurological and physical concerns — including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint pain, TMJ dysfunction, vertigo, fibromyalgia, and more. Visit our Conditions page for a full list.
How is your approach different from other clinics?
We use instrument-based adjusting rather than manual thrusting, which makes our care gentler and more precise. Dr. Beth uses the ArthroStim instrument; Dr. Cote uses the Activator Method. We also combine chiropractic with BioFlex Low Level Laser Therapy, giving us tools that most clinics don’t offer for complex or chronic cases.
How many visits will I need?
Every case is different. After your examination and review of findings, Your doctor will recommend a care plan and explain their reasoning. We believe in honest, realistic expectations — and we never recommend more care than we believe is necessary.
What techniques do you use?
Our primary techniques are ArthroStim instrument adjusting (Dr. Beth), Activator Method (Dr. Cote), and BioFlex Low Level Laser Therapy. We tailor our approach to each patient based on their condition, age, and comfort level.
